Edge Of Paradise is fronted by the stunning Margarita Monet who delivers potent yet melodic vocals along with virtuoso keyboard playing that adds a unique classical flair to the band’s sonic metal assault. Combine that with the ferocious fretwork of guitarist Dave Bates who intertwines compelling leads and bombastic riffs and you’ve got a band that offers something highly refreshing in today’s modern metal sound-scape. Mask also features guest appearances by renowned session drummer Gregg Bissonette (David Lee Roth, Don Henley and major session drummer for hit-TV and movie soundtracks) and bassist extraordinaire Tony Franklin (The Firm, Glenn Hughes, Blue Murder, Roy Harper) who prove to be the ultimate rhythm section when it comes to the hard-edged rock sounds contained on the debut recordings. Other guests on the CD include bassist Bjorn Englen (Yngwie Malmsteen), drummer Craig Anderson and backing vocals from Robin McCauley (MSG) who also co-wrote most the songs along with Dave and Margarita, and cutting-edge songwriter Ryan Jones.
Edge of Paradise was formed in the beginning of 2011 from the ashes of Dave Bates’ former band Bleed, which was fronted by Robin McAauley. The influences on the CD are incredibly diverse, and have been pegged as “Industrial Melodic Chaos”. Margarita states “it has always been my vision to create music that will be around for a while and I feel like we have really achieved that with Mask.” The band plans to tour the US at the start of the year 2012, to promote Mask. Along with Margarita and Dave, drummer Kevin Katich and bassist Steven Cook will round off the live band.
Mask features 9 stellar tracks, highlighted by "Falling Down," "Tail Of The Gun," the title track "Mask," and modern-day power ballad "We Breath".

Edge Of Paradise Biography:
On their debut CD "Mask", Edge Of Paradise unleash an aggressive, knockout punch of industrial heavy metal. Drawing inspiration from the metal icons, who define prior generations, the band's guitarist Dave Bates, singer, Margarita Monet, bassist, Tony Franklin and drummer, Gregg Bissonette deliver a melodic, metallic onslaught as evidenced with songs "Thrown It All Away" and "Tail Of The Gun", which have been predicted to become the next "Metal Classics" by RevelationZ Magazine.
Dave and Margarita formed Edge Of Paradise in 2011, while working on another musical collaboration "for hire" with a producer in Los Angeles. Margarita explains, "Musically, Dave and I just clicked. During one of the sessions, Dave asked me if I would like to sing on some of his songs, and from that day forward, Edge Of Paradise was born". Dave has been writing music for some time, collaborating with talented songwriters, Robin Mcauley (MSG, Survivor) and Ryan Jones, which left the two with a vast library of music to pull from. With a little creative magic between Dave and Margarita, the sound of Edge Of Paradise was born. Margarita Monet’s wide ranging vocals talents bring a modern edge to their music and her keyboard playing adds a classical flair and sonic depth to an already heavy guitar riff sound. Dave Bates weaves intricate melodies and shows an innate ability to create catchy rhythmic hooks within the tasty heavy riffing. Guest appearances by Gregg Bissonette (drums) and Tony Franklin (bass) complete the brutal assault in the rhythm section.
The addition of Kevin Katich on drums and Steven Cook on bass in the latter half of 2011 solidified Edge of Paradise's line up. With a plethora of musical tastes and backgrounds ranging from classical to blues, metal and hardcore, Edge of Paradise shows no limitations with their writing ability and style. September 15th, 2011 marked the release of the band’s debut CD "Mask”. The CD debut #6 most added at metal radio and consistently hovered around the top 40 finishing 2011 at #41 on the loud chart. The year 2012 Found EOP in need of a line-up change. Drummer Gene McEwen (Armed forces, Steel profit) was brought in to complete the new EOP line-up. The group immediately began writing music to showcase the bands maturity and define the direction that was pre-empted by “Mask”. The band plans to release a new single in March with The legendary Michael Wagener slated to mix. The band is excited to release the new song, which they feel “will be a showcase for the staggering growth and maturity we have achieved since the release of the “Mask”.
During one of their past live shows, Music Connection Magazine described the band “as a tight, well-oiled machine". The band is now ready to bring that machine to the people, and will be looking to tour heavy to spread the sound of Edge Of Paradise!
